A resident for 40 years, Kathleen and her three-generation family are deeply involved in the community through the Keyport Garden Club, Beach Sweeps, and the Bayshore Lunch Program.

Rob Bergen for Council
Former Mayor and Former and Current Councilmember
Rob previously served nearly 20 years as a member of the Keyport Borough Council and as Mayor. As Finance Chairman under both Democratic and Republican administrations, Rob earned recognition for his deep expertise in municipal finance. He also served on the Keyport Unified Planning Board and has remained committed to cutting costs since filling a vacant council seat in January.
Proven Leadership and Accomplishments
As Mayor, Rob spearheaded the financing, design, and construction of Keyport’s premier Waterfront Park and Promenade. He is now focused on restoring and revitalizing this area, which has recently fallen into disrepair.
Distinguished Public Sector Career
Professionally, Rob has a successful career as a municipal attorney in Monmouth and Middlesex counties. He has served for more than 25 years as the Law Director in Carteret, a community recognized for its smartdevelopment.
A True Keyport Family
Rob is the son of former Keyport Mayor Richard Bergen. He and his wife Kelly graduated from Keyport High School and raised their family here. Their grandson, Jackson, represents the fifth generation to call Keyport home.
Danielle Mastropiero for Council
An Advocate for Keyport
Danielle is a Monmouth County native, Keyport homeowner, and dual-career powerhouse working as a trial attorney and registered nurse. For nearly 30 years, she has dedicated her life to public service and advocacy.
Fighting Corruption
As an attorney, she treats clients like family and volunteers with the District VIII Ethics Committee where she holds bad actors in the legal field accountable and protects the public. She worked for free to prevent Keyport from losing waterfront property that belonged to our Borough after a shady deal almost slipped through. Danielle stopped bad actors from giving away land that belonged to us.
Commitment to Public Service
Danielle serves with the Monmouth County Medical Reserve Corps, earning commendations for her work with Afghan refugees during Operation Allies Welcome and local homebound vaccine distribution program during the pandemic. Here in Keyport, she is a volunteer with Keyport's CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and Lincoln HEART.
A Front Line First Responder
As a first responder during Hurricane Katrina, Danielle is a passionate advocate for police, fire, and EMS workers.
